Teaching Go at Yire Village Elementary School, Meigu County,  Sichuan Province, April 2024

As part of a Go outreach project, I worked with students at Yire Village Elementary School in Sichuan. Through teaching, playing, and learning alongside them, I saw how Go became a way for students to think strategically, collaborate with one another, and build confidence over time.

Four years after mailing beginner curriculum materials to this

remote rural school (June 2020), I traveled to see the program's

impact and personally coach students who had been learning through the materials I designed.

Hosting Korea–Shanghai Go Friendship Exchange Tournament, July 2026

I served as the host and translator for the Korea–Shanghai Go Friendship Exchange Tournament, organized by Ryoo Dong-wan Baduk Academy and the Shanghai Go Association. Helping Korean and Chinese participants communicate throughout the event was a great experience. The event used Go as a bridge for friendship and learning, and I enjoyed it quite a lot.
